LA Colors + ELF + NYX + Fake Eyelashes Haul

Hey Guys!

I can't believe its already 2012 (what happened to 2011)
I go back to work on the 23rd so my blog posts unfortunately are going to drop off as I will be very busy!
Until then I am trying to post as often as a I can, I am also trying to get my YouTube channel underway.
I have been recording heaps I am just waiting for my partner to set up his MAC so I can edit them all (thats my goal this week).

Anyway.....

This came in the mail 2 days ago and I was very excited because I had been wanting to try out the LA Colors Mineral Blushes versus ELF Blushes (Which I had heard so much about).

LA Colors Vs. ELF
The Blush War

Unblended Vs. Blended

LA Colors Mineral Blush

Price - USD $3.50

Packaging -  ♥ ♥ ♥

Pigmentation -  ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Longevity - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Rating -  ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Colours I bought - Sheer Bliss, Pink Du Jour, Tickled Pink, Flushed, Just Peachy

My Favourite Colour -  Tickled Pink

The packaging is very basic which I don't mind. It has two parts to it, the top is the blush and underneath is a mirror with small brush making it easy to pop into your bag and use on the go. At times the blush can be difficult to open, I find the bottom layer is easier to get into than the blush itself. I have read that the powder crumbles easily - however I haven't experienced this first hand but if this is the case I won't be taking it anywhere in fear of it crumbling and being harder to use.

The pigmentation is amazing. I love how bright the colours are and for the price you pay its one of my favourite blushes I own. The colour stays on all day and has a small amount of shimmer to them which I like.

I would give this a full 5/5 because of mainly the colour itself.

Pink Passion

Candid Coral

Fuschia Fusion

Tickled Pink

ELF Studio Blush

Price - USD $3.60

Colours I bought - Pink Passion, Candid Coral, Fucshia Fusion, Tickled Pink

My Favourite Colour -  Pink Passion

I like packaging for the ELF blushes. Its simple and sleek.

The pigmentation is not as amazing as the LA Colors Blush. It is quite sheer and to do the swatches I had to pack on the colour. I do love the colours though and I think they are perfect for everyday wear. The price you pay is good and I would repurchase again, there are a few more colours I would like to buy.

I would give this  4/5 due to the pigmentation being very sheer.

The Verdict

I love both these blushes and they are inexpensive and great drugstore brands!
Overall I would purchase the LA Colors Mineral Blush again over the ELF Studio Blushes due to the range of colours they offer and the pigmentation.

I hate these!

I don't normally feel this strongly about a product but I will never buy these again.
These are probably the most expensive products I have bought in a while (I know they are only $6.99 but thats a lot for NYX).

The reason Purple Blaze wasn't swtached was becasue it was damaged in shipping, Azure was damaged also after one use. If you have these I would almost suggest storing them in the fridge, as soon as they are warm they become weak and the product snaps off and is unusable. This is obviously not ideal as this is an eyeliner and you can't draw on the eye when you cant apply pressure to this product.
I am so dissapointed with this product, I do love the colours and pigmentation but for the price I definately wont be buying this again.

New lip liners - I will swatch these later in a review post (expecting another 6)

NYX Sharpner

 Fake Eyelashes

I bought these off of Ebay from seller Ashopone

Cost - USD $1.48
Free worldwide shipping
10 pairs in a pack

I love these ♥
I can't believe I didn't find them sooner.
In New Zealand if you go to the pharmacy it will cost you NZD $15.00 for a decent pair.
The shipping on these took about 7 days, and there are heaps to choose from.
I like dramatic volumizing lashes, but if you're into simple basic lashes they have those too.
I will definately be buying from this seller again.
